Rod is a paramedic with over 20 years of experience responding to emergencies and saving lives. He is the Guide to First Aid for About.com. Rod has always been a teacher at heart, directing the Emergency Medical Services Program at Modesto Junior College for 10 years and as an advisor for the paramedic program at CSU Stanislaus. His educational background shows through in his writing.
Rod has a bachelor’s degree in business with a focus in healthcare management. He is currently working on a large, multicenter study with the American Heart Association to examine new ways to maintain competency in emergency cardiac care. |
